Though Spencer’s childhood took him through Portland, Chicago, and Arkansas, Washington has always felt like home. He’s a proud University of Washington graduate, where he also met his wife, Haley. These days, life is full and joyful as they raise their three young children (5, 3, and 1) here in the Pacific Northwest

Spencer thrives on outdoor adventure and quality time with his family. Whether he's wing foiling, windsurfing, skiing, or exploring new places, he's always looking for the next memorable experience.

Professionally, Spencer brings more than a decade of experience in the employee benefits world, with a strong focus on value-based care. He takes a consultative, strategic approach to benefits planning. Always starting with a clear understanding of each client’s broader business goals. Spencer believes the most effective solutions are the ones that balance what’s best for both employers and their people, and he’s built lasting partnerships by staying curious, empathetic, and thoughtful in every interaction.

Sharon Villa

Senior Account Manager

Sharon was raised in California, where she met her husband Joe before relocating to his hometown of Seattle. While she still enjoys frequent visits to friends and family in California, the Pacific Northwest has become her permanent haven. Thanks to its lush trees, daily glimpses of Mount Rainier, the sounds of eagles on her walks, and, most recently, a bucket list moment: witnessing the Northern Lights last May. She loves spending time with her family, her dog Scooby, and is thoroughly enjoying the joys of grandparenthood.

With over 35 years of experience in both the Group and Individual insurance markets, Sharon brings deep industry knowledge and an unwavering commitment to client service. She takes pride in treating each client as a partner, helping them deliver quality benefits to their employees. Despite the ever-changing landscape of the insurance industry, Sharon continues to be inspired by the opportunity to learn and grow every day.

Austyn Heit

Benefits Analyst

Austyn graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Marketing. After college, he chased a long-held dream and moved to New York City, spending three fast-paced years immersed in the energy of the East Coast. Eventually, the pull of the Pacific Northwest, and the chance to be closer to family and friends, brought him back home.

He’s excited to be part of Oak and Mercer, drawn to the team’s values and commitment to doing what’s right for clients. Austyn brings a thoughtful, team-oriented approach and is eager to contribute to meaningful, people-first work.

Outside of the office, Austyn enjoys traveling, playing soccer, and relaxing with a good video game. He values balance, connection, and continuous learning in both his personal and professional life.
